The festival La Strada Graz and its winter focus on New Circus, Cirque Noël, work closely with both international and local artists, inviting audiences to follow their creative processes. The international networks, where both festivals have long been well-rooted, make it possible not only to showcase productions in Graz but also to support their development and co-production.
Residencies and workshops provide opportunities for local artists to deepen their skills in acrobatics, bodywork, or – as in this year – creation and choreography. Graz is increasingly becoming a center of contemporary circus, allowing the audience to experience the diversity and uniqueness of these forms of expression by the companies.
